On Wednesday, the Finnish Institute for Health and Welfare (THL) has confirmed 1,151 new coronavirus infections in Finland in the past 24 hours.

171 in Helsinki, 96 in Oulu, 74 in Vantaa, 64 in Espoo, 43 in Turku, 38 in Tampere, 28 in Lahti, 28 in Kiuruvesi, 21 in Lappeenranta, 21 in Raahe, 20 in Ylöjärvi, 19 in Kempele,  16 in Nokia, 16 in Sotkamo, 15 in Jyväskylä, 15 in Urjala, 14 in Nurmijärvi, 14 in Liminka, 13 in Ii, 12 in Kouvola, 12 in Kaarina, 12 in Kokkola, 11 in Salo, 11 in Porvoo, 10 in Joensuu, 10 in Kuusamo, 10 in Leppävirta, 9 in Laukaa, 9 in Naantali, 9 in Hämeenkyrö, 8 in Kuopio, 8 in Lohja, 8 in Sastamala, 7 in Hämeenlinna, 7 in Vihti, 6 in Järvenpää, 6 in Tuusula, 6 in Raisio, 6 in Rovaniemi, 6 in Mäntsälä, 6 in Kemi, 6 in Kurikka, 6 in Muhos, 6 in Saarijärvi, 6 in Uurainen, 5 in Kerava, 5 in Hyvinkää, 5 in Kotka, 5 in Pori, 5 in Mikkeli, 5 in Kajaani, 5 in Kangasala.

299 patients are in hospital care being treated for symptoms caused by the virus. Of them, 38 are in intensive care. THL also reports of three new deaths related to the virus.
