On Friday, the Finnish Institute for Health and Welfare (THL) confirmed 748 new coronavirus infections in Finland.

In the past 24 hours, most new cases were found in the following cities:

199 in Helsinki, 64 in Vantaa, 59 in Espoo, 50 in Turku, 35 in Tampere, 23 in Salo, 22 in Lahti, 21 in Oulu, 18 in Jyväskylä, 12 in Kuopio, 10 in Lohja, 10 in Kajaani, 9 in Rauma, 8 in Hämeenlinna, 8 in Taipalsaari, 8 in Joensuu, 8 in Vaasa, 7 in Kotka, 7 in Hyvinkää, 7 in Kirkkonummi, 7 in Kaarina.

In addition new cases were found, for example, in Järvenpää (6), Kerava (6), Sipoo (6), Nurmijärvi (5), Pietarsaari (5), Äänekoski (5).
