Many parts of Finland, including Helsinki, received a wet layer of snow in the early hours of Thursday morning.
The snow depth at Kanta-Häme, Varsinais-Suomi and the Uusimaa region vary between 5 and 8 centimeters, according to the Finnish Meteorological Institute.
Several road accidents have occurred at Turunväylä, Lahdenväylä and Kehä III, reports Traffic Management Finland.
The snow is likely to not stay on the ground for long because the temperatures are forecast to rise to as much as seven degrees Celsius.
