Tuska Metal Festival Opens Its Crowded Gates – VIEW THE PICTURES
Under the dark sky on Friday afternoon, the gates to the Tuska metal festival were opened in Helsinki’s Suvilahti district. The clouds burst into rain but as soon as the dark-clad patrons started pulling over their raincoats, the fickle Finnish weather turned into sunshine.
At 14:30 in the afternoon, the queue at the gates kept growing as spectators were getting ready for today’s headliners, which include the Swedish polyrhythmic supergroup Meshuggah and their homeland metal counterpart Arch Enemy with fierce female vocals, and straight from L.A.: Body Count, featuring Ice T himself.
Other headliners of the three-day festival include the French metal band Gojira and the Australian metal sensation Parkway Drive.
