This morning, train service was delayed across much of the country.

ONLY ABOUT ONE-FIFTH of long-distance trains were on schedule as of 9:30 this morning. About 60 percent of commuter trains were on schedule, according to the government-owned railway monopoly, VR.
The delays were mainly due to technical problems with trains and waiting for other trains and connections, according to VR’s press releases.
As of 11:30 in the morning, Helsinki-Rovaniemi InterCity 273 had the longest delay, running 2 hours and 41 minutes behind schedule, according to the VR website. InterCity 905 from Turku to Tampere was also significantly late, running 2 hours and 12 minutes behind schedule.
The delays are expected to continue throughout the day.
