Can you feel it?
It’s getting warmer. And soon it’s getting hot!
In Helsinki, the weather is currently sunny and about 19 degrees Celsius.
Planning a holiday? On Thursday, travel up toward central Finland. Just about 100 kilometers above Helsinki you’ll get to enjoy temperatures of 30 degrees!
Or you could visit Turku, southwestern Finland, where it could get even hotter.
According to the Finnish Meteorological Institute, the temperatures will remain close to 30 degrees in the aforementioned areas and inland and in places like Pori on the west coast, at least until Friday.
It is recommended to enjoy the warm days while you can. According to the legendary meteorologist, Pekka Pouta from MTV3, evenings could get chillier over the weekend in the whole country.
Those living and staying in Helsinki are going to have to settle for temperatures around 20 degrees on Thursday and Friday and for even chillier temperatures over the weekend.
According to Pouta, the lower temperatures are a result of the sea water being only 10 degrees of Celsius.
