The Batman is the best film of the year so far. With that being said, let’s get into the why.

Matt Reeves’ Batman is picture perfect. This means that he’s dark, grim and kicks ass with angst nonpareil to previous adaptions before.

Every villain—from the Penguin (Colin Farrell) to the Riddler (Paul Dano)—is a heavyweight in character and demeanor.

On top, cinematographer Greig Frase’s work is extraordinary. The script by Reeves and Peter Craig is tight as a drum.

And what is there to say about Robert Pattinson, who plays Bruce Wayne and Batman. . . other than goddamn!

According to the decision by the reviewer, the plot summary will not be included in this article to refrain from any clues and spoilers.

It’s, however, recommended, that the viewer chooses the biggest screen in the selected cinema.

IMAX should be preferred, if available.

‘The Batman’ premieres in cinemas across Finland on March 4.
