Taiga, the daredevil double-launch roller coaster with a top speed of 106 kilometers per hour at Linnanmäki amusement park in Helsinki, stopped in the middle of the ride on Saturday evening at about 18:00.
The ride remains closed for the time being.
The roller coaster stopped on straight tracks before a steep rise, and it was carrying a full load of people.
The passengers were able to walk down calmly across the safety bridge.
According to Pia Adlivankin, the managing director of Linnanmäki, the passengers were not in danger. She said that the problem was related to a data communications problem.
Taiga saw its opening ceremony on June 18.
It has been one of the most popular amusement rides in the park.
Over 300,000 people have taken the ride this summer.
