Prime Minister Petteri Orpo (NCP) and Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson will meet in Helsinki on Monday. After their bilateral meeting, the prime ministers will participate in a broader meeting with the foreign and defense ministers of both countries.

“The prime ministers’ bilateral meeting will focus on relations between Finland and Sweden, the security situation and current EU issues,” according to the Finnish prime minister’s office. Prime Minister Orpo will also brief Prime Minister Kristersson on developments on Finland’s eastern border.

The prime ministers’ meeting with the foreign and defense ministers will focus on the close cooperation between Finland and Sweden in the NATO membership process.
