Temperatures will rise above zero in many places this week.

THE WEATHER is getting milder at the beginning of the week, according to the Finnish Meteorological Institute.

The Finnish Meteorological Institute warns that driving conditions may be slippery throughout the country on Monday due to warming weather. In the north, driving conditions will be worsened by snow showers.

On Tuesday and Wednesday, slippery roads are possible in the southern and central parts of the country. Especially in western Finland, roads may be slippery as temperatures will remain above freezing for longer than in the rest of the country.

On Monday, daytime temperatures in the south and central parts of the country will be around five degrees below zero.

It will be around minus 10 degrees Celsius in the north on Monday.

On Tuesday, temperatures will rise above zero in most places. It will be warmest on the west coast, with temperatures rising to about four degrees Celsius.

The coldest weather on Tuesday will be in eastern and mainland Lapland, where it could be 10 to 15 degrees below zero.
