Russia is carrying out an inspection to increase trust and safety during an evaluation visit to the Lapland Air Command on Wednesday.

The evaluation team consists of three people and they have diplomatic status.

The objective of the evaluation visit is to establish whether Finland’s annual military information exchange report on Lapland Air Command based on the Vienna Treaty in 2011, is in line with the information now presented to the evaluation team.

The evaluation visit is hosted by the commander of the Lapland Air Command, Colonel Tuukka Karjalainen.
