Prime Minister Sanna Marin is featured on the BBC’s 100 Women list, which includes inspiring and influential women from around the world.

According to BBC (the British Broadcast Corporation): “This year 100 Women is highlighting those who are leading change and making a difference during these turbulent times.”

Joining Prime Minister Marin on the list are, for example, Michelle Yeoh, star of the new Avatar and Marvel films and Sarah Gilbert, who heads the Oxford University research into a coronavirus vaccine, as well as Jane Fonda, a climate activist and actress.

In the article, BBC highlights the Finnish coalition government, which Marin heads and has been formed with four other parties “all led by women.”

The article also praises the handling of Covid-19 in Finland, which has “one of the lowest infection rates in Europe.”

Marin is quoted saying that “we as women leaders can show that it is possible to fight the virus and at the same time tackle climate change, invest in education and make socially just reforms in society.”
