President Sauli Niinistö will make a working visit to France and meet President of France Emmanuel Macron in Paris on Tuesday, the president’s office reported on Monday.

At the meeting, which will be held at the French President’s official residence, the presidents will discuss, for example, bilateral relations, European security and defense policy, great power relations and the spirit of Helsinki, and climate change.

During the visit, President Niinistö will also meet Laurent Fabius, the president of the Constitutional Council of France, as well as French researchers and experts in international politics.
