President Sauli Niinistö will pay a working visit to Germany on November 21–23, 2021.

President Niinistö will meet Frank-Walter Steinmeier, the president of Germany, in Berlin on Monday, November 22.

The presidents will conduct official discussions in Bellevue Palace. After a bilateral meeting and working lunch, the presidents will continue discussing the Helsinki spirit together with Finnish and German experts.

On Monday afternoon, President Niinistö will be the keynote speaker at an event organized by the Körber Foundation.

This event will also be attended by President Steinmeier and Helga Schmid, the secretary general of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE).

The title of the event is “International Dialogue Revisited: The Spirit of Helsinki in an Age of Great-Power Competition.”

On Tuesday, November 23, President Niinistö will deliver a speech on “The case for a stronger Europe in a harder world” at the Humboldt University of Berlin.

After his speech, President Niinistö will discuss its theme with students.
