“I will return to my normal schedule, no coronavirus,” President Sauli Niinistö said on Twitter on Monday morning.

Last Thursday, President Niinistö had to cancel his meeting with the newly-elected Estonian president, Alar Karis, because Niinistö was suspected to have been exposed to the virus after he met with the Latvian president, Egilis Levits, on Wednesday. President Levits was later tested positive for Covid-19.

As a precaution, President Niinistö self-isolated and took a coronavirus test.

“The vaccine does offer protection; waiting for the third dose,” Niinistö added.
