The personnel of the Tampere Vocational College Tredu had just managed to confiscate the backpack with guns when the police arrived on Tuesday just before noon.
A person had made verbal threats and introduced the personnel to the content of the bag. It included a hand and a gas gun. Furthermore, the person was, according to the police, prepared to start a fire.
The police were alarmed at 11:34, and ten minutes later they had caught the threatener.
There were no persons injured in the incident. The police are investigating the incident as a firearms offense and preparation of an aggravated offense against life or health.
