The official visit of Moldovan President Maia Sandu to Finland, scheduled for Tuesday, was postponed after Finnish President Alexander Stubb contracted a viral illness, the Finnish president’s office noted on Monday evening.

The official visit of Moldovan President Maia Sandu to Finland, planned for Tuesday, has been postponed, the Finnish president’s office announced on Monday evening.

The reason cited for this change is that President Alexander Stubb has contracted a “viral infection.”

The office further stated that a new schedule for the visit will be disclosed at a later date.
