Because of water damage at the Keilaniemi metro station, the escalators of the northern entrance (B, Keilaniementie 6) and (G, Keilaranta 1) are not in use on Friday morning.
The station is suffering from water damage caused by a technical fault in the sprinkler system. The rescue department were called out for a damage prevention mission at 0:22.
Six floors were flooding with water.
According to the fire chief on duty, most of the water had been removed by 03:00 in the morning. Only the first two ground floors had about five centimeters of water on the floor.
According to Helsinki Region Transport HSL, the metro is running on a normal schedule, and the metro will stop at Keilaniemi as usual.
