The Töölönlahti route is closed for the rest of the year. This is due to roadwork.
HELSINKI’S TÖÖLÖNLAHTI BAY hiking and biking trail is closed for the rest of the year. The route was blocked by a fence at Linnunlaulu.
The route is closed due to sewer renovation work that requires the closure of the trail, according to the Finnish Transportation Agency. It will not be possible to go around the 2.2-kilometer-long Töölönlahti road from Linnunlaulu during the excavation work.
From Helsinginkatu, Linnunlauluntie can be used to walk to the railroad bridge and Hakaniemi during the work.
Excavation of the sidewalk is expected to be completed by the end of the year. A new asphalt surface will be installed in the spring.
