FREEZING WEATHER is forecast for Tuesday in Helsinki.

According to the weather services, in the morning the temperature in the Helsinki area will probably be minus 15 degrees Celsius, and the northerly wind could make it feel like minus 25.

However, the sun is expected to shine in the afternoon.

Between Tuesday and Wednesday night, the weather will continue to cool down. A ridge of high pressure coming in from the west could bring a significant drop in the temperature.

Helsinki may see nighttime temperatures of 20 — 25 Celsius.

The forecast means that this winter’s low-temperature record may be broken in Helsinki.
