HELSINKI—Thousands of people gathered to observe UEFA Super Cup final game at the Olympic Stadium on Wednesday; hundreds observed the game on a big screen at the Citizens’ Square and millions on TV—Helsinki became the focus for anyone with an interest in exciting high-level professional football.

It didn’t matter whether you supported the Spanish Real Madrid or German Eintracht Frankfurt, people were joyous on that warm summer evening.

Real Madrid eventually won the game 2–0.

The police thanked on Twitter everyone for celebrating peacefully without disturbances.
