
Finnish wheelchair athlete Amanda Kotaja, 26, won silver in the 100-meter T54 class final at the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games on Wednesday.
She lost by a hair to her rival China’s Zhou Zhaoqian, who won the race at the finishing line in 15.90.
In an interview with the Finnish media after the final, Kotaja burst into tears.
She called them tears of happiness.
The silver medal was her first medal in Paralympic Games.
And her time was the best of the season at 15.93.
