He’s here! President Sauli Niinistö’s and his spouse’s, Jenni Haukio’s, firstborn child: a healthy baby boy!

He was born on Friday, February 2, just before eight in the evening at the Women’s Hospital, the day after of his father’s inauguration for his second term as the president.

The president was present at the birth. The mother and the child are feeling fine, according to the Office of the President of the Republic of Finland.

For Niinistö, 69, the child is his third and for Haukio, 40, her first.

Before the birth of their child, the presidential couple has received plenty of congratulations from the citizens, of which they are most thankful.
