Police are investigating a fatal stabbing that occurred outside a karaoke bar in central Helsinki last Thursday.

The police are investigating a homicide after a man born in 1983 was fatally stabbed outside Tokio Karaoke restaurant in central Helsinki around 22:30 in the evening on Thursday, January 8.
The victim died in the hospital later that night, according to the police statement.
Two men, born in the 2000s, were arrested nearby shortly after fleeing the scene. The police have recovered the weapon.
The investigator in charge, Detective Inspector Tuomas Lindholm stated in a release that the suspect and victim knew each other and had spent the evening together, possibly arguing inside before leaving and quickly getting into a fatal altercation outside.
The reason for their dispute remains unclear as investigations continue.
