Hold on to your hats today as gusting winds will sweep across the country.

According to the Finnish Meteorological Institute, the wind could be dangerous in the Uusimaa, Kymenlaakso, southern Karelia and southern Savonia regions.

In the southern and western parts of the country, the weather will slowly become fairly sunny but occasional rain showers may occur.

During the evening, the rain showers will move to the west coast.

The day temperatures in the south are about 15-17 degrees Celsius and 10-15 degrees in the central and northern parts.

On Thursday, the rain clouds will move to the east but in the evening, it will be sunny in most parts of the country.

On Friday, the weather is predicted to be unstable, and the day temperatures are likely not to change.
