Mrs. Eeva Ahtisaari, the spouse of the former Finnish president, Martti Ahtisaari, has been confirmed of being infected with the coronavirus.

According to the president’s office, Mrs. Ahtisaari, 83, is feeling well despite the infection. President Martti Ahtisaari is also feeling well and has not shown symptoms of the coronavirus.

According to media sources, Mrs. Ahtisaari was one of the participants in a sold-out International Women’s Day concert at the Helsinki Music Center on March 8. At the time, the government had not yet banned events and concerts. A total of seven attendants of the concert have been infected with the coronavirus, according to a press release published by the City of Helsinki.

The former Finnish president, Tarja Halonen, attended the same concert as well.

According to the president’s office, Mrs. Halonen and her spouse, Pentti Arajärvi, are healthy.
