Late on Monday afternoon June 15, about 2000 people summoned at Kansalaistori in Helsinki to demonstrate against the government’s plans to slice the budget for education by 600 million euros. The protest was arranged by Ana Jelić, 17, an immigrant originating from Serbia and her friends, who thought that there’s nothing stopping them from arranging a protest for a good cause. After holding speeches, the demonstrators started a march to the Senate Square and to the front of the Government Palace in hopes that their message of “Use your common sense!
