According to the government’s ruling, all restaurants, cafes and bars must be closed everywhere in Finland starting at midnight on Friday, Apri 3l. They will remain closed to customers from Saturday, April 4 to May 31, 2020. The closure is necessary to slow down the spread of the coronavirus.
Preparing meals for take away will be allowed. Restaurants and cafes selling products for takeaway must follow general recommendations and make careful arrangements for ensuring that no contact is made with customers that could cause a risk of infection.
The order to close restaurants does not apply to personnel canteens that are not open to the public. Similarly, canteens in hospitals, daycare centers and industrial facilities are allowed to remain open.
