There seems to be an endless stream of superhero movies appearing on the big screen these days. After telling the story of Captain America, Spider-Man, Thor, Iron Man, Hulk, Black Panther and many more, it’s definitely a good idea to put about a dozen of them in one movie to fight a common enemy stronger than they are together.

In Avengers: Infinity War, a mean bastard, Thanos, who looks like he has a nutsack as a chin, is ready to wipe out the universe. Can’t go into details to save this one from spoilers.

Thanos is played by Josh Brolin, whose one of the more memorable roles is playing the former US president, George W. Bush, in Oliver Stones’ W. (2008). In the latest Avengers, Brolin sinks knee-deep into the dark side. Beware! The calm monster he plays may  enter your nightmares.

Thankfully, the nightmarish performance is evenly balanced with humor delivered by your favorite superheroes.

This one takes you on a ride in your seat for 149 minutes, and director brothers Anthony Russo and Joe Russo (known for directing the Captain America sequels) have done their best to keep the story moving and thrilling.

That it indeed does.

‘Avengers: Infinite War’ premieres in cinemas April 25.
