On Monday, the Finnish Institute for Health and Welfare (THL) confirmed 143 new coronavirus infections in Finland.
In the past 24 hours, most new cases were found in the following cities:
23 in Helsinki, 14 in Espoo, 13 in Lahti, 13 in Salo.
New infections were also confirmed in, among others, Vantaa (12), Turku (11), Nurmijärvi (6), Kokkola (5), Oulu (4), Tampere (3), Porvoo (3), Raisio (3), Kaarina (3).
Since the beginning of the pandemic, the total number of coronavirus cases in Finland is 88,866.
On Monday, the Finnish Institute for Health and Welfare (THL) reported one two new deaths related to the virus.
The death toll is now at 924.
67 patients (-5) are receiving specialized medical treatment, 28 (-5) patients are in primary health care and 26 patients (-2) are in intensive care.
