In its meeting on Monday, the government decided to propose that restaurants stay closed for additional three weeks until April 18.
The government saw this as necessary because of the current pandemic situation. Parliament will hear about the related government proposal in its plenary session on Tuesday.
The conditions follow the same rules as right now: restaurants and other food and beverage service businesses will remain closed to customers in areas where the coronavirus pandemic is most serious.
Except for Southern Ostrobothnia, these regions will remain the same as under the current closure:
1. Uusimaa
2. Southwest Finland
3. Satakunta
4. Kanta-Häme
5. Pirkanmaa
6. Päijät-Häme
7. Kymenlaakso
8. South Karelia
9. South Savo
10. Central Finland
11. Ostrobothnia
12. North Ostrobothnia
13. Lapland
14. Åland
The pandemic situation in South Ostrobothnia will be re-examined on Tuesday.
On Monday, the government also discussed the possible adoption of restrictions on movement. The government will continue its negotiations on the matter today.
