The Finnish Institute for Health and Welfare (THL) has confirmed 954 new coronavirus infections in Finland on Wednesday.

153 in Helsinki, 68 in Oulu, 65 in Turku, 61 in Vantaa, 61 in Espoo, 31 in Tampere, 19 in Kouvola, 17 in Salo, 16 in Lahti, 16 in Kokkola, 15 in Kuopio, 13 in Raahe, 13 in Luoto, 13 in Kuusamo, 12 in Joensuu, 11 in Jyväskylä, 11 in Kerava, 11 in Hämeenlinna, 11 in Saarijärvi, 10 in Porvoo, 10 in Hyvinkää, 10 in Ylöjärvi, 9 in Lappeenranta, 9 in Lempäälä, 9 in Raasepori, 9 in Imatra, 9 in Keminmaa, 9 in Pyhtää, 7 in Vihti, 7 in Sipoo, 6 in Laukaa, 6 in Kemi, 6 in Liminka, 5 in Vaasa, 5 in Nurmijärvi, 5 in Kirkkonummi, 5 in Pori, 5 in Kaarina, 5 in Riihimäki, 5 in Lieto, 5 in Kempele, 5 in Sastamala, 5 in Askola, 5 in Kontiolahti, 5 in Vesilahti, 5 in Toholampi, 5 in Padasjoki.

Currently, 252 patients are being treated in the hospital for symptoms caused by the virus. That’s four fewer on Monday. Of them, 28 are in intensive care, which is six fewer than on Monday. On Wednesday, THL reports three new deaths related to the virus.
