On Wednesday, the Finnish Institute for Health and Welfare (THL) has confirmed 8,910 new coronavirus infections in Finland since Monday. (Tuesday’s numbers were not published because of a technical fault in THL’s database.)

Currently, 851 people are receiving hospital care for symptoms caused by the coronavirus. This is 20 more patients than on Monday. Of them, 30 are in intensive care.

THL also reports two new deaths.
