On Thursday, the Finnish Institute for Health and Welfare (THL) has confirmed 726 new coronavirus infections in Finland.

In the past 24 hours, most new cases were found in the following cities:

228 in Helsinki, 90 in Turku, 68 in Espoo, 58 in Vantaa, 25 in Tampere.

New infections were also confirmed at least in these cities and municipalities:

21 in Lahti, 15 in Jyväskylä, 12 in Mikkeli, 12 in Kerava, 11 in Lappeenranta, 10 in Raisio, 9 in Hyvinkää, 9 in Kuopio, 8 in Karkkila, 7 in Salo, 6 in Forssa, 6 in Kaarina, 6 in Oulu, 5 in Lieto, 5 in Kotka, 5 in Laukaa, 5 in Hämeenlinna, 4 in Tuusula, 4 in Valkeakoski, 4 in Kirkkonummi, 4 in Järvenpää, 4 in Tuusula, 3 in Eura, 3 in Pori, 3 in Porvoo, 3 in Pieksämäki, 3 in Riihimäki, 3 in Rusko, 3 in Kouvola, 2 in Askola, 2 in Pöytyä, 2 in Sipoo, 2 in Säkylä, 2 in Sastamala, 2 in Vöyri, 2 in Laitila, 2 in Seinäjoki, 2 in Säkylä, 2 in Kauniainen, 2 in Tammela, 2 in Jomala, 2 in Nurmijärvi, 2 in Nokia, 2 in Naantali, 2 in Vihti, 2 in Vaasa, 2 in Joensuu, 2 in Naantali, 2 in Jomala.

In addition, one new infection was confirmed in scattered cities across the country, including Lohja, Loimaa and Siikalatva.
