On Tuesday, the Finnish Institute for Health and Welfare (THL) has confirmed 580 new coronavirus infections in Finland over the weekend.
Most new infections were confirmed in the cities below.
104 in Helsinki, 47 in Tampere, 42 in Espoo, 38 in Lahti, 29 in Vantaa, 23 in Turku, 22 in Seinäjoki, 15 in Jyväskylä, 13 in Alavus, 10 in Kurikka, 9 in Oulu, 9 in Porvoo, 8 in Kerava, 8 in Rauma, 8 in Karkkila, 7 in Kirkkonummi, 7 in Rovaniemi, 7 in Luoto, 7 in Ilmajoki, 6 in Vaasa, 6 in Tornio, 5 in Kouvola, 5 in Hyvinkää, 5 in Kokkola, 5 in Kemi, 5 in Huittinen.
218 people are currently receiving hospital care for symptoms caused by the virus. Of those, 33 are in intensive care.
