On Wednesday, the Finnish Institute for Health and Welfare (THL) has confirmed 4,520 new coronavirus infections in Finland in the past 24 hours.

419 in Espoo, 227 in Maarianhamina, 200 in Tampere, 199 in Turku, 179 in Helsinki, 167 in Rovaniemi, 132 in Mikkeli, 113 in Vaasa, 101 in Seinäjoki, 100 in Lahti, 97 in Pori, 84 in Kouvola, 81 in Kuopio, 80 in Jomala, 76 in Oulu, 71 in Nokia, 68 in Kajaani, 65 in Kaarina, 58 in Jyväskylä, 57 in Lemland, 54 in Finström, 52 in Kotka.
Currently, 712 people are receiving hospital care for symptoms caused by the coronavirus. That’s 53 more patients than on Monday. Of them, 33 are in intensive care.
THL also reports 29 new deaths.
