On Monday, the Finnish Institute for Health and Welfare has confirmed 451 new coronavirus infections in Finland.
Most new infections were found in the cities below.
117 new infections in Helsinki, 55 in Vantaa, 41 in Espoo, 33 in Tampere, 31 in Rovaniemi, 20 in Jyväskylä, 19 in Turku, 15 in Oulu, 11 in Lappeenranta, 8 in Nokia, 7 in Joensuu, 6 in Tuusula, 6 in Nurmijärvi, 6 in Vaasa, 6 in Järvenpää.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, the total number of coronavirus cases in Finland is 117,982.
On Sunday, a total of 535 new infections were confirmed. Most cases were found in Helsinki: 105. On Saturday, the number of new cases was 765.
On Sunday, THL reported of one new death related to the virus. On Monday, no new deaths have been reported.
107 people are receiving hospital care because of symptoms caused by the coronavirus, which is 19 more than on Sunday. 30 patients are in intensive care. This is seven more than on Sunday.
