In the past 24 hours, most new cases were found in the following cities:
98 in Helsinki, 38 in Espoo, 37 in Vantaa and 30 in Tampere.
New infections were also confirmed in, among others, Turku (21), Lahti (17), Kerava (15), Porvoo (8), Nurmijärvi (8), Tuusula (8), Salo (8).
Since the beginning of the pandemic, the total number of coronavirus cases in Finland is 82,964.
On Wednesday, the Finnish Institute for Health and Welfare (THL) reported 4 new deaths related to the coronavirus.
The death toll is now at 881.
104 patients (-5) are receiving specialized medical treatment, 42 (+7) patients are in primary health care and 42 patients (+7) are in intensive care.
