On Wednesday, the Finnish Institute for Health and Welfare (THL) has confirmed 348 new coronavirus infections in Finland.

In the past 24 hours, most new cases were found in the following cities:

105 in Helsinki, 38 in Espoo, 31 in Vantaa.

New infections were also confirmed in these cities and municipalities:

17 in Turku, 11 in Kotka, 9 in Nokia, 9 in Tampere, 7 in Salo, 7 in Tuusula, 6 in Jyväskylä, 6 in Lappeenranta, 6 in Lahti, 6 in Seinäjoki, 6 in Kerava, 5 in Raisio, 4 in Mikkeli, 4 in Hamina, 3 in Savonlinna, 3 in Pirkkala, 3 in Raasepori, 3 in Kirkkonummi, 3 in Tornio, 3 in Oulu, 2 in Kouvola, 2 in Hollola, 2 in Lemi, 2 in Paimio, 2 in Järvenpää, 2 in Kuopio, 2 in Pöytyä, 2 in Karkkila, 2 in Kauniainen.

In addition, one new infection was confirmed in scattered cities across the country.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, the total number of coronavirus cases in Finland is 80, 416.
