“It’s clear as the sky that the pandemic is not over, this will still take a long time,” Mika Salminen, director of the Finnish Institute for Health and Welfare (THL), said in a press conference on Thursday morning.
On Thursday, the Finnish Institute for Health and Welfare (THL) has confirmed 259 new coronavirus infections in Finland. Since the beginning of the pandemic, the total number of coronavirus cases is 90,946.

The British variant is currently predominant in Finland, but in the past few weeks, we have also witnessed the Indian variant beginning to take hold. “We have to remember that all these variants are more infectious.”
