On Tuesday, the Finnish Institute for Health and Welfare (THL) confirmed 244 new coronavirus infections in Finland.
In the past 24 hours, most new cases were found in the following cities:
52 in Helsinki, 26 in Espoo, 21 in Tampere, 21 in Vantaa.
New infections were also confirmed in, among others, Turku (18), Oulu (12), Lahti (9), Salo (7), Tornio (4), Karkkila (4), Porvoo (3), Lappeenranta (3), Hämeenlinna (3), Rauma (3), Kerava (3).
Since the beginning of the pandemic, the total number of coronavirus cases in Finland is 86,161.
Today, the Finnish Institute for Health and Welfare (THL) also reports three new death related to the virus.
The death toll is at 908.
70 patients (-6)) are receiving specialized medical treatment, 30 (+4) patients are in primary health care and 32 patients (-1) are in intensive care.
