223 people have been infected with the coronavirus in Finland, according to reports by THL and HUS, published on Saturday, March 14, 2020.

The Finnish Institute for Health and Welfare THL reported 55 new coronavirus infections on Saturday. This report is largely based on new infections confirmed on Friday so all new infections don’t necessarily show in the latest statistics. On Saturday, Helsinki and Uusimaa Hospital District reported 12 new coronavirus cases, so the total number of new infections since yesterday is 67.

Most of the new infections have occurred in the Helsinki and Uusimaa Hospital District (HUS): 48. There are now a total of 117 confirmed coronavirus infections in the Helsinki and Uusimaa Hospital District.

On Friday, the Finnish Defense Forces reported their first coronavirus infection. Today, they reported another one. The infected persons are part of the military staff. The other had returned from an endemic area last weekend.
