On Tuesday evening, 141 people have died of COVID-19, according to the statistics published by the Finnish Institute for Health and Welfare THL.
The number of deaths has risen significantly because the Helsinki and Uusimaa Hospital District has released statistics of the fatalities in its nursing homes.
According to Mayor Jan Vapaavuori of Helsinki, 77 people living in Helsinki have died to the virus. 42 have died in the nursing homes of the city.
There are 4,014 confirmed coronavirus infections in Finland.
1,574 of the infected are located in Helsinki.
