Protesters Bang the Cowbell While Parliament Celebrates Opening Session at the Finlandia Hall

About a hundred protesters had gathered in front of the Finlandia Hall to demand the resignation of Prime Minister Juha Sipilä on Thursday evening.

At the same time, the members of the parliament were strolling inside the Hall for the evening ceremony of the opening of the parliamentary spring session.

According to the protesters, Sipilä’s government has forced through decisions that most severely impact those with low incomes and those in the most vulnerable position in society. At the same time, the government has favored high-income earners with tax cuts.
