On Friday, a new night tram 9N starts running from the West Terminal via the Helsinki Railway Station to Linjat.

Tram 9N will depart from Länsiterminaali 2, and the 9N will not serve Bulevardi.

Tram 9N will otherwise follow the route of tram 9 but in Jätkäsaari it will run via Välimerenkatu, Atlantinkatu, Länsiterminaali T2 to Tyynenmerenkatu, from where it will return to the city center.

Tram 9N will run on Friday and Saturday nights every 20 minutes.

During the introduction of the new night tram, the route of night bus 23N will be shortened. It will continue to run between the Central Railway Station and Ilmala in August and September. The bus departs from bay 4 at the Railway Square. The bus runs every 20 minutes.

Bus services will be completely withdrawn in October when trams 9 and 9N are able to resume their normal routes to Pasila.
