The vast snowfall with hard wind forces the commuter trains to operate on a reduced service in Helsinki on Tuesday, November 8.

The flurry and whirling snow will affect services on the main line and coastal line. Trains to Helsinki Airport (Ring Rail Line) will run as usual.

Timetables November 8

A trains will run every 20 minutes.

From Helsinki at 06, 26, 46 past the hour.

From Leppävaara at 09, 29, 49 past the hour.

K trains will run every 20 minutes.

From Helsinki at 16, 36, 56 past the hour.

From Kerava at 02, 22, 42 past the hour.

X and Y trains are canceled. VR will provide supplement transport between Kirkkonummi and Siuntio, see vr.fi.

The aim of the reduced service is to minimize disruptions to services due to bad weather and to ensure the reliability of services. The decision on the reduced service has been made jointly by VR, the Finnish Transport Agency, Finrail and HSL.
